Even with contemporary UK value discharge programmes, you must realise that your chosen heirs will invariably obtain less from the est as you have used some of the cash that has been secured in the real estate  loans for people with bad credit no job the us government at times will returning the loan of any appealing company proposition approximately totally, creating the chance of the acquire to own incredibly cheapest interest charges doable, and never having to offer any form of equity.  They will try to be long term for a couple decades for federal government school loans given just before 1993. Within this problem, make an application for No Credit Check Required Unsecured Finance is usually a handy alternate to have an consumer to get some bucks by an instant and trouble-free way  loans for people with bad credit  the business manger available in the market will check out all your files and definately will agree the financing amount unswervingly in your examination bank account.  The car you cannot wait around to own your vehicle whoever excellent steel finish off awaits the caress of the operator as well as be motivated, added wheels driving. Much more vital, in my opinion, is that often the banks was able to find the accounting policies improved without any lengthier have got to "markIn their risky jobs "for the marketplace. Sales and leasebacks is usually quite beneficial in MBOVersusMBIs and other enterprise expenditures, as the chance to realise 100Percentage of the wide open rate reduces the call to complement some of the available fairness in stones and mortar, as will be essential that has a business home finance loan of say 70Per-cent. The intention (motivation) of Oedipus in Oedipus Rex  Oedipus Rex, also known as Oedipus the King, is one of the most ironic plays ever written. Sophocles, the author, is a famous philosopher of the ancient times. The Play is about Oedipus, the king of Thebes, who unwittingly killed his father and married his mother. An oracle warned Laius, the king of Thebes prior to Oedipus, that his son would slay him. Accordingly, when his wife, Jocasta, bore a son, he exposed the baby on Mt. Cithaeron, first pinning his ankles together (hence the name Oedipus, meaning SwellFoot).
For many years, my company had very clear lines of authority, position, and title. Your title determined everything from the type of phone you had, to the size of your office, to the color of your walls. Although the culture of the organization has since changed, I believe this instilled a fear in many lowerlevel employees of talking in meetings that included higherlevel executives. These executives want everyone in the meeting to feel comfortable voicing their opinions, but have trouble getting full participation.
A Study of William Shakespeare's Hamlet      “Frailty, thy name is woman” Hamlet famously exclaims in the first act    of William Shakespeare’s longest drama, and one of the most probing    plays ever to be performed on stage. It was written around the year    1600 in the final years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, an era of    real uncertainty and confusion; while the prospect of Elizabeth’s    death and the question of who would succeed her brought grave anxiety    to the nation as a whole, the rise of the Renaissance movement gave    rise to many challenges and unanswered questions to the old ideals and    beliefs that were for such a long time embedded in every Englishman’s    soul and mind.

The Many Uses of Computers   Computers are helpful because they offer a wide range of functions and services that are not available anywhere else. There are four main uses: word processing, internet/communications, digital video/audio composition, and desktop publishing. Although one can create a typed paper with a typewriter, the computer has more features  to do it with. Internet and communications, digital video and audio composition, and desktop publishing are all features that are only offered on computers.
Arrogation of Jihad     In his endeavours to prove that Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas opposed    the concept of Jihad1 in Islam, Abdul Hafeez cites2 a passage from    Hadhrat Ahmad'sas book titled Ayyamus Sulh in which he, according to    his original work stated:     'We believe that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and    Seyyidna Hadhrat Muhammad Mustaphasa is His Messenger and is the Seal    of Prophets. We believe that the angels, the resurrection of the body,    the day of judgment, heaven and hell are a reality.
Church Reform   The Reformation of European religion in the 16th century cannot be generally attributed to the secular spirit of the Italian Renaissance. Although the peasants saw bishops and abbots as part of a wealthy and oppressive ruling class and rebelled against the Roman Catholic Church for reasons primarily pertaining to the lavish adornments used by those aforementioned, their power was not great enough, nor did their reasons carry enough clout to start a reformation movement throughout Europe: that job was accomplished by those already having some, however small, social or religious power, such as the monk Martin Luther, the accomplished priest and lawyer Jean Cauvin, and King Henry VIII of England.

Speech: Quit Smoking                                      I. Introduction a. Whoa 1,000 dollars. Yes, ladies and gentleman, my first slide of my power point presentation does say, "Whoa…1,000 dollars!" b. From my Health Psychology Book by Linda Brannon and Jess Feist, it stated that "Currently, about 25% of the adults in the United States are classified as smokers," in 1998 when the book was published. c. Now, considering all of us are 18 or older in the room, one out of every four of us is a smoker.
The Individual vs. Society in Mrs. Warren's Profession    Often in life there is a conflict between what is good for the individual and the moral values placed upon the individual by society.  This is true of the characters in George Bernard Shaw's play Mrs. Warren's Profession.  Shaw clearly demonstrates that actions frowned upon by society are not necessarily evil so long as they benefit the individual.      Perhaps the most obvious example of societal morals conflicting with individual need is the case of Mrs.
Blinded  Total darkness can take over ones’ sight, leaving the individual barely capable of forming cognitive images, and experiencing the inevitable dependency on the words of others, thus allowing physical blindness to cripple even the most independent of individuals. The phenomenon of social blindness can describe one who leans not on their own understandings, but instead on the understandings of those surrounding them, which is a trend all too common in the modern world. In “Selections from Losing Matt Shepard: Life and politics in the Aftermath of AntiGay Murder”,  transcribed by Beth Loffreda, mass media affected the spread of the truth behind an incident and blindly lead the majority of the United States population to believe various aspects of the murder of Matt Shepard  that were created by the media.

The Separation of Powers Doctrine       The Separation of Powers Doctrine can be traced as far back as    ancient Greece and essentially the meaning attributed to it is the    dividing functions of government between groups with different    interests, so that no power in the centre can act without the    cooperation of others. However there are many interpretations of the    doctrine, one being that of Aristotle, who favoured the division of    power according to class interests of the monarchy, aristocracy and    democracy.
Comparing Einstein and Other Ccreative Geniuses       The author Banesh Hoffmann wrote the essay "Unforgettable Albert Einstein," and expresses his admiration at Einstein’s innate ability for getting to the heart of a situation with simple logic. This ability was the secret of his scientific discoveries. Einstein once made a statement that when Mozart composed music, he found the beauty that was already there waiting to be revealed. This one ability was characteristic of Einstein’s findings. He was able to reveal what already existed but had not been discovered.
We Can Stop Global Warming        Nowadays, the earth is presenting drastic changes. There are different factors that have influenced to provoke these changes. The man is one if not the main responsible. With the modern world and its speed in which life is developed everyday, the man may not sometimes think of a longterm harm that is provoking. It has been recognized that human activity is slowly increasing the atmospheric concentration of several gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect.

Keys to Interpretation of Hamlet        William Shakespeare's Hamlet is, at heart, a play about suicide. Though it is surrounded by a fairly standard revenge plot, the play's core is an intense psychodrama about a prince gone mad from the pressures of his station and his unrequited love for Ophelia. He longs for the ultimate release of killing himself  but why. In this respect, Hamlet is equivocal  he gives several different motives depending on the situation. But we learn to trust his soliloquies  his thoughts  more than his actions.
The mid 19th century is one of the major turnaround in the history of the United States. That is the time when America became an Industrial giant and emerged as one of the powerful countries in the world. Industrial revolution changed the people’s way of living in the whole world especially the United States from hand and home productivity to machine and factory. America rose from rural and agricultural country to an urbanindustrial that introduces new technologies. United States has been through a lot of ups and down in spite of its emergence and three books tells the story of the Industrial America in three different perspectives.
If I Cannot Trust My Narrator, Who Can I Trust.    The narrator of The Yellow Wall Paper appears as any storyteller you may meet in the beginning of any story. She comes on as someone with whom you have decided to share your most comfortable reading chair and your brightest lamp, for however long she feels like spinning her yarn. But soon enough, we find ourselves rereading passages just uttered by our narrator and begin to wonder if perhaps we’re not paying her the right amount of attention, and perhaps this confusion is the fault of the humble reader.

Comparing W.E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington         W. E. B. Du Bois and Booker T Washington had very different views about their culture and country. Du Bois, being born in the North and studying in Europe, was fascinated with the idea of Socialism and Communism. Booker T Washington, on the other hand, was born in the South, and like so many others, had a Black mother and a White father. Thus being born halfwhite, his  views and ideas were sometimes not in the best interest of his people.    William Edward Burghardt Du Bois was born on February 23, 1868 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

In order for a contract to be formed, there are various requirements. These are offer, acceptance, consideration, and the intention to create legal relations. A contract may also be terminated. There are two types of offer; specific and general. Specific offers are those made by one person or group of people who can choose to accept, and general offers are made to a generalised majority, such as in rewards and public advertisements. In the case of CARLILL v CARBOLIC SMOKE BALL, a general offer had been made, as it was a publicised advert.

William Hodges opened the South Seas to the European imagination in the eighteenth century. His landscape paintings of exotic beauty changed Europeans’ outlook on the world beyond Europe and ignited their yearnings for a paradise, leading to the surge of Western imperialism (Quilley 2004, 14). Marking a departure from the classical landscape tradition was Hodges’ en plein air technique, which infused his mythical imagery with natural light in the open air and richly compelling beauty peculiar to the southern hemisphere.
Henry: An Ideal Monarch. In the 1590s, there was a very strict ideal of a Monarch. The way an    ideal Monarch would be viewed in the 1590s was not far removed from    the expectations of a King in the early 15th century. A 15th or 16th    century King was expected to be a competent ruler above anything else,    but far more was needed to lead the people of Medieval Briton. The role of the king in society progressed and differed throughout the    middle ages, with the introduction of bureaucracy towards the end of    the period and a gradual detachment from the Roman empire.
Richard Connell's "The Most Dangerous Game" is a very  exciting story of a manhunt. This story made me think about the morality of hunting: Humans are the cleverest creatures on earth, but does it  give them a license to kill the other animals and even human beings weaker than themselves. I give below a short summary of the story to set  the scene and then I will explore the ethics involved in hunting as a  sport. "The Most Dangerous Game" presents the story of a hunter, General Zaroff, who finds hunting human beings as the most dangerous and fascinating sport.

The Battle for Space in Shaw    "Groups, classes or fractions of classes cannot constitute themselves or recognize one another as ‘subjects’ unless they generate (or produce) a space. Ideas, representation, or values which do not succeed in making their mark on space….will lose all pith and become mere sign…Space’s investment  the production of space – has nothing incidental about it: it is a matter of life and death."   Henri Lefebve, The Production of Space  Lefebvre's quote speaks of the production of space as a common, inevitable   Occurrence.
The Opening Sequence of Moulin Rouge      The opening sequence of Moulin Rouge is both informative and dramatic. It tells the story of Christian as he tells the story of the Moulin    Rouge. The bright colours and music give the impression of joy    throughout the film; this is enhanced through the use of erratic    camera movements within the Moulin Rouge. In contrast the woeful voice    of Toulouse can be heard singing the story over the top, informing the    audience that the film will also include great tragedy and sorrow.
The Standards and Values by which the Court of Malfi Lives  The values that govern character's decisions in The Duchess of Malfi are diametrically opposed to the modern day ethos by which we are accustomed to live. The play is set in a time and society where today's basic sociability, fairness and freedom from oppression were completely unheard of and unprecedented. Those in power saw no point to their authority if they did not take full advantage of their influence, nobody would lookout for anyone else and people's livelihoods depended on kings' fickle whims.

On September 11, 2001, the United States of America was dealt a horrifying blow to reality. It all happened so quickly that most of us did not realize that it was an actual terrorist attack planned far away in another country and carried out on American soil. The morning of the terrorist attacks will forever be emblazoned in the minds of all Americans and the World alike. It is hard to imagine a killer so callous and putrid who would bring the World Trade Center to the ground, a smoldering pile of metal and ashes; ashes of the buildings themselves and also the ashes from the remains of the victims of 911.
"Young Goodman Brown", by Nathaniel Hawthorne, is a story that is thick with allegory. "Young Goodman Brown" is a moral story which is told through the perversion of a religious leader. In "Young Goodman Brown", Goodman Brown is a Puritan minister who lets his excessive pride in himself interfere with his relations with the community after he meets with the devil, and causes him to live the life of an exile in his own community. "Young Goodman Brown" begins when Faith, Brown's wife, asks him not to go on an "errand".
ADVANTAGES OF CLONING   Among the advantages offered by cloning are the following:   1. The possibility of producing not a complete body but just an organ to save the life of a human being who requires the transplant of that organ. 2. The cloning of a complete human being whose bone marrow would help to save the life of his brother ill with leukemia. The transplant of bone marrow calls for a close biological link between the donor and the beneficiary, which in the case of cloning is really the closest possible relationship.

The Fear in the House of Usher The short story, The Fall of the House of Usher, uses a rational first person narrator to illustrate the strange effects the house has on the three characters within it. Everything about the house is dark and supernaturally evil, and appears to convey some fear that is driving its occupants insane. The narrator enters the story as a man with a lot of common sense and is very critical of the superstitious Usher, but he himself senses these same powers only he tries to escape the reality of the phenomena by reasoning or focusing on something else.

Introduction The way people choose to portray themselves on an online social networking site or a dating site is does not always stand true to real life. There are many stipulations that one has to go through in order to be comfortable not only receiving, but distributing their personal information. This paper will explore different ways that online presentations in mediated communication through dating and social networking sites are represented and the issues that coincide. Social networking sites have distinctive cues that create various levels of importance to those browsing them.
Voltaire and Kosinski’s literature works are two of the significant artistic work of the eighteenth and twentieth century. The work have strong basis of numerous human character and nature, by demonstrating how human beings associates. As one flips from one page to the next of the products of two shrewd authors, many thematic issues are revealed including stupidity, foolishness, optimism among others. However, one of the most important themes espoused in the contents of the two famed writers is that everything that happens in human life has reason (Voltaire, 1950).

Although most of the images were pretty impressive, but the ones I liked were :  1)     The Drawing of the Lute : The lute derives its name, as well as its distinctive shape, from the Arabic 'ud, an instrument which is very much at the heart of Arabic musical life to this day. 'Al 'ud' means 'the wooden one', a name perhaps coined to distinguish the 'ud from instruments made from gourds or with parchment soundboards. Since being in Dubai, In most Arabic festivals lute is the instrument that is been played, because of this I love the music as well played by Lute.
When elementary teachers ask their pupils what they want to be when they grow up, they expect to get answers such as: astronaut, firefighter, or teacher. I was obviously not your typical ten year old. I wanted to become someone who helped sick people feel better. I was stuck between a doctor and a pharmacist. Because I do not do well with blood, I chose to become a pharmacist. Sure a pharmacist was not as “cool” as an astronaut, but I had a great reason on why I wanted to become a pill pusher. When I was eight years old my mother passed away from a liver disease.
Developing a Framework for Cyberlaw    Suppose you wanted to witness the birth and development of a legal system. You would need a large, complex social system that lies outside of all other legal authorities. Moreover, you would need that system somehow to accelerate the seemingly millennial progress of legal development, so you could witness more than a mere moment of the process. The hypothetical system might seem like a social scientist's fantasy, but it actually exists. It's called the Internet.(1)  "Cyberspace", first coined by William Gibson in the 1984 science fiction novel, Neuromancer, is a "culture and society of people who are individually empowered by a digital connection through the use of the Internet."(2) Gibson described cyberspace as a place where people could connect their nervous system to a device that allows them to experience a simulated environment.(3)   Cyberspace has not just grown, it has exploded.

Tanning Beds and Skin Cancer   What is UV radiation. Before one can discuss harmful effects of tanning equipment and increased sun exposure, one must be familiar with the components of ultraviolet light and how affects the skin. Sunlight contains two types of ultraviolet (UV) light: UVA and UVB. UVA rays consist of longer wavelengths that penetrate deep into the dermal layer of skin. Limited exposure to UVA rays causes skin to tan; however, most experts agree that overexposure to UVA can lead to other longterm skin damage.
Kant's Categorical Imperative    Deontology is the ethical view that some actions are morally forbidden or permitted regardless of consequences. One of the most influential deontological philosophers in history is Immanuel Kant who developed the idea of the Categorical Imperative. Kant believed that the only thing of intrinsic moral worth is a good will. Kant says in his work Morality and Rationality “The good will is not good because of what it affects or accomplishes or because of it’s adequacy to achieve some proposed end; it is good only because of it’s willing, i.e., it is good of itself”.

Human Understanding       In the history of human understanding, I couldn't think of any person to study for a singular perspective of gaining knowledge through philosophy. I am glad that the class has been given two philosophers to compare and contrast their ideas. The subject of human understanding is a wide range of ideas to discuss, which can be quite complex, a feat I would never return to do. The two philosophers Rene Descartes and David Hume take the task of discussing human understanding and bring it to the terms in which people can better understand.
Animals’ Rights. Animals flock about nature going on with their daily lives eating, mating, playing, and hiding. “Hiding from what?” someone might ask. They are hiding from the predators that roam the earth as if it is only theirs to move about freely without respecting the other inhabitants of the earth. These predators are known as humans. Many of these predators have taken the lives of many animals selfishly and disrespectfully. Some animal species have been killed by the hundreds each year, many times for the purpose of putting money in the pocket of the killers.
The 21st century’s advanced technology has revolutionized the world. Marshall McLuhan, a Canadian communications theorist educator, writer and social reformer, acknowledged a societal change since the phenomenal development of the World Wide Web. The theorist stated that “The medium, or process, of our time  electric technology is reshaping and restructuring patterns of social interdependence and every aspect of our personal life. It is forcing us to reconsider and reevaluate practically every thought, every action.

Defining the Boundaries of Magical Realism in The Porcelain Doll         Scholars have debated the defining characteristics of Magical Realism since its infancy as an emerging art form in the early twentieth century. From Franz Roh, the art critic who coined the term Magical Realism, to contemporary leading scholars such as Amaryll Chanady, a myriad of confusion has surrounded this term. In an effort to narrow the defining boundaries of what constitutes Magical Realism, short stories labeled as Magical Realism can be examined for their degree of adherence to the cardinal characteristics most scholars attribute to Magical Realism.
The World Bank and The IMF: Twins or Rivals. Both institutions, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, were established more than fifty years ago; and the foundations of both were expected to play roles in stabilizing the frustrated global economy and aiding postwar European countries as well as other developing countries for economic progress. In the first three decades, both institutions had their own respective functions and extensively engaged in different economic and financial activities.
Charles Yale Harrison’s Generals Die in Bed vs Colin McDougall’s Execution              As with any genre, all novels termed ‘war stories’ share certain elements in common. The place and time settings of the novels, obviously, take in at least some aspect of at least one war or conflict. The characters tend to either be soldiers or are at least immediately affected by the military. An ever present sense of doom with punctuated moments of peace is almost a standard of the war novel. Beyond the basic similarities, however, each of these battle books stands apart as an individual.

Qualities of a Worthy Leader      In our community the best way to lead is a way that satisfies the whole community. A leader in our Proctor community should be both loved and feared. One should always be aware that men are always competing. A leader should always stick with his or her beliefs and know opposite qualities, so their power will never be questioned. It is important that a society respects their leader, so there will be no chaos.        A leader in our community should be both loved and feared.
Desert Landforms     We were taken to an area of the desert approximately 20 kilometers    inland from Jeddah. On arrival, we were asked to carry out practical    investigations of the landforms and landscape in the immediate area,    in order to find evidence of river processes and resulting landform    such as erosion, transportation, weathering and depostion . these    investigations took place in a valley (“wadi”), which is an    intermittent watercourse, during the dry season. To carry out our    measurements, we devised the following equipment before hand:       * A clinometer, to measure the gradient along the “wadi” and its        cross profile (long profile).
Ever since the African American race was brought over to the United States they have been mistreated. Upon their arrival, Americans instantly enslaved them and used them for work, not even considering them as people. With the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1865, slavery was finally outlawed; however, “colored” people were still treated unequally through segregation. Segregation was legalized by the Court decision in the case Plessy v. Ferguson. But, in 1952, the case Brown v.

Katharine Hepburn    Graceful, charming, hilarious, selfconfident, hardworking, determined, outrageous; Katharine Hepburn has been gathering adjectives for years, adding them to her image with carelessness and calculation. In an era of changing roles for women, Katharine Hepburn was able to use her influence on the American film to stand out as an early role model of the modern American woman. She had the essence of the successful adventuress:  no mater the challenge, she survived in tact with her sense of humor in good working order.
Described below is a critical appraisal of a qualitative article by Lisa Booth using the framework suggested by Ryan, Coughlan and Cronin 2007 to establish its believability, robustness, credibility and integrity (Ryan, Coughlan & Cronin, 2007). Qualitative research is regarded as an inductive process, which within natural settings attempts to produce insights on the subjective experiences, meanings, practices and point of views of those involved (Craig & Smyth, 2007). The aim here was to investigate factors influencing the communication styles used by the radiographers, therefore,  allowing a better understanding to patientcentred care within diagnostic radiography.
The Natural Law Party of the United State of America    The Natural Law Party was formed April 1992 in the United State of America. It is the third party which is largely centerleft in ideology. The main aim of the party is to “bring the light of science into politics.” This party purposes to bring the fieldtested solutions to America’s problems, which have already existed and are ignored, to the government with its member’s knowledge.

According to the results obtained in the laboratory exercise, it appears that the gene to centromere distance tends to vary at different temperatures, as well as with different environmental conditions. At different environmental conditions, variations in recombination frequencies are found in Sordaria . Recombination generates new combinations of existing genetic variation and therefore may be important in adaptation and evolution ( Saleem2001). Throughout the years it has been observe how different species have adapt to different environmental conditions, and because of the new spices have evolve.
Remember how your parents always said to you that video games does not teach you anything, that all it does is rot your mind and always telling you that video games are evil that can cause you to kill people. Most people think that video games just cause problems in the world today, when there are some video games out there that are teaching some children to how to become surgeons or doctors. The wii remote is used the same way how surgeons use there hands when doing an operation. It also states that people who play video games builds there reaction time and hand and eye coordination better than the people who do not play video games.
Persuasive Essay on Electoral Colleges         In the United States we are all guaranteed one vote per person. Everyone has an equal voice in electing the people that serve in the government. Every four years during the month of November citizens of America go to the polls to vote for a president and vicepresident of the United States. Am I right. Not really. They actually vote for electors that then vote for our president. It makes me wonder, "Are we a democracy?" Having the Electoral College defeats its purpose.

In the story “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding, he shows how the boys lost all innocence and civilization. The boys went from having innocent child minds to taking lives of other people, acting savage, and losing all civilization due to problems on the island. The boys had forgotten where they came from and became savage in order to survive; it was the need of survival that caused the loss of innocence among the boys. At the end of Lord of the Flies, Ralph weeps “for the end of innocence”. That’s an example that Ralph did indeed recognize that the boys did lose innocence and that he realized this after leaving the monstrous island.
The Culture of Slenderness      "Thinness equals success" is the notion that many collegeaged, uppermiddle class, white women looking to become part of professional society hold today. The "Culture of Slenderness" has many ways of exerting its influence and fulfilling its aims effectively (Toro, Cervera, Perez, 1988, pg.136). This message has been exploited by the media and by society's professional work force. Since the woman's arrival into professional society, a new norm has been set by white professional men that has begun to affect a new generation of white women leaders.
Gilgamesh's' and Scrooges' Character Changes     The character Gilgamesh from Epic of Gilgamesh and the character Scrooge from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol  grow during their respective storylines and experience a number of character changes. Through a series of trials, one sees both   Gilgamesh and Scrooge transform from powerful but selfish individuals to beings   possessing kindness and empathy.    In the beginning, Gilgamesh is a fantastic athlete and warrior. As one would expect from an individual who is two thirds god and one third man, his beauty, strength and courage surpassed all others.

As kids, the question is always asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Depending on the interest of their parents, the children’s answers vary greatly. If they come from a family of lawyers, the child would most likely say they would want to be a lawyer. If they come from a family where no one has graduated from high school, the child would most likely say that they would want to be a truck driver. The background and the status of the parents would determine the aspirations of children’s future.
Wheatley’s poem, “On Being Brought from Africa to America” is part of a set of works that Henry Louis Gates Jr. recognized as a historically significant literary contribution for black Americans and black women (Baym et al. 752). Addressed to the Christians who participated in the slave trade, the poem is meant to reveal the inconsistencies between their actions and the Christian Ideal. Whether perceived as a work of sincerity or a work of irony, the poem conveys the message that an individual’s behaviors are influenced by the examples of others and that all people are equal.

Saudi Arabia mobilized their abilities to support teaching English. Students from middle school to high school are exposed to the English language up to more than 800 teaching hours. In spite of all of that, the final outcome confirms that in the end of education year, the ability of the Saudi students in the English language is at its lowest levels; students are unable to make a brief conversation in English, and have no ability to understand the text of short reading or writ short article.

Good afternoon, let me just start by saying that the kindness, support, friendship, and love extended to me and my family during this difficult time has really touched my heart we are sincerely appreciative. During the last moments of my mother’s life she was surrounded by loved ones, as she slowly slipped away into the morning with grace and peace. I can’t begin to express how hard it is for me to stand here before you and give my last respects to my loving mother  name here. From the biography that was handed out you can recall that during the her early years in the united states she studied and worked in New York where she met and married my dad, the love of her life.

As the old saying goes, “You are what you eat”. Initially, some people would say that there is someone to blame for childhood obesity, the  parents. Children are becoming obese because of poor health choices and ineffective parenting. According to David Rogers, public health spokesperson for the Local Government Association, "parents who allow their children to eat too much could be as guilty of neglect as those who did not feed their children at all”. However, others will argue that childhood obesity is caused by genetic and hormonal factors.
The Life of a Homeguard Original Writing     At weekends we often had training sessions including firing practice. They were in a field alongside a road down a steep hill to the south    of a church. They were fairly rough and ready but adequate for our    needs and the targets were up the hill towards the church and backed    by woods above them. They were mounted above and to the back of a    trench about eight feet deep and six feet wide. A sheet of corrugated    iron formed a roof over the trench on the side farthest from the    targets.
The ornamental daggers of the late bronze age found in the shaft graves at Mycenae, that date between 1550, and 1500 B.C. were made by Cretans for the mainland market. Even though these daggers were made in Crete none have ever been found there. Some other places where similar daggers have been found are the island of Thera, Vapheio, Pylos, and the Argire Heraeum. This shows that there was trade among all of those places during the time period that the daggers were made. Most of the daggers were found in grave circle A at Mycenae.

Role of Women in Indian Camp and Shiloh           The women of "Indian Camp" experience a life much different from the woman in "Shiloh." Ernest Hemingway wrote "Indian Camp" giving the women a definite role in their families while Bobbi Ann Mason wrote "Shiloh" leaving the woman’s definite family role ambiguous. Because they are responsible for the birth of the babies, the Native American women of the preceding story are the nurturers as opposed to the men. The women accept their roles and partake in their duties without any protest.
William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing         'Much Ado About Nothing' was written in the years 15989 and was know    for its genre, which is a classic comedy. The comedy of ‘Much Ado    About Nothing’ derives from the characters themselves and the manners    of the society in which they live. Language is a significant part of    the play and the plot ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ has a large use of    prose. Benedick and Beatrice are the main examples of male and female    rivalry. Darkness at Noon by Koestler         In the novel, Darkness at Noon, by Koestler, Rubashov learns about himself, and makes an effort to cross the hazy lines between his conscience and his beliefs. Rubashov's realization of the individual aspect of morality is a gradual process, satisfying his internal arguments and questions of guilt. His confession to Gletkin reflects the logic that Rubashov had used (both by himself and his political regime), as well as his internal conflicts. He questioned the inferior value of the human, in respect to the priceless value of humanity.

From the nineteenth century to the present, the United States has been hailed as a “land of opportunity” where individuals could achieve personal, political, religious, and economic freedoms. The image of the “land of opportunity” was true to different degrees for the AfricanAmerican sharecropper in the postwar South, the immigrant at Ellis Island, and the wealthy capitalist or manager in the period from eighteensixty five to nineteenfourteen with the AfricanAmerican being at the low end of the rung and the capitalist being at the top.
Comparing Change in The Stranger and Nausea             Existentialists mean that we can't rationalize, since we can't explain human fear, anguish, and pain. To rationalize is absurd, because in the final analysis, we will find nothing. Life is absurd. This leads to the term Nothingness. Thus, since we can't find a meaning of life more than what we attempt to create by ourselves, we anguish. Living in the same era, Camus and Sartre individually helped to form the school of existentialism. Of course there were others: Kierkegaard, Heidegger, etc.
Crime and Punishment and Demons by Dostoevsky are two novels that are directly reflective of the time that he spent in exile. Crime and Punishment was a precursor to Demons and laid the foundation for the psychological novel that would characterize these and a later novel by Dostoevsky. Dostoevsky was made aware of the problems with Nihilistic ideas while he was exiled in Siberia. Crime and Punishment was Dostoevsky’s first attempt at a psychological analysis of a person’s inner struggles to rationalize this radicalism.

In the poem “Because I could not stop for Death” by Emily Dickinson refers to death as a gentlemen who unexpectedly visits Dickinson to take her on a journey “towards eternity” (I. 24). It is very ironic that she considers death as a gentleman, but as we all know it is the total opposite. On the second stanza they both start the slow and peaceful journey. “We slowly drove, he knew no haste” (I. 5). We can see the tranquility of the scene in which they are. Dickinson here understands the seriousness of the situation in which she is, and she forgets about everything.

Love and Marriage in Poetry         In this assignment I shall be talking about the attitudes to love and    marriage, which these three poems reveal as well as their similarities    and their differences. The three poems I shall be focusing on are 'How    Do I Love Thee?' which was written by Elizabeth Barrett Browning;    'Remember', by Christina Rossetti; and Lord Byron's 'When we two    parted'. These three love poems are from the Victorian Era which    spanned over half a century. I shall be analysing the language, which    will lead me into an understanding of the meaning of each poem and    also the structure.

Gilgamesh        There once lived a king, the great king of Uruk in Mesopotamia. This great leader was Gilgamesh. His preserved epic is of great significance to modern day culture. Through Gilgamesh, the fate of mankind is revealed, and the inevitable factor of change is expressed. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, it is a great love, followed by a lingering grief that cause a significant change in the character of Gilgamesh.     Before the coming of Enkidu, Gilgamesh was a man of pure power. A being of which there was no equal match, Gilgamesh boasted upon his overwhelming glory and power.
Communication Theory   Background and History  With the advent of WWII, the idea of effectively communicating ideas to the masses moved to the forefront of research in the United States. Wilbur Schramm, considered by many to be the founder of communications as a field of study, served as the director of the Office of Facts and Figures and the Office of War Information in Washington, D.C. in the early forties. It was during these years, that he formed his vision of communication study (Rogers, 1994).
Roy Campanella was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 19,1921. Growing up in the mean streets of Philadelphia was pretty hard for him and his sister   Doris. Everyday as they walked home from school, they would teased by a group of   white kids, and sometimes even black kids, the kids would call them "Half Breed". At   that time they did not know what that meant. He then realized he parents were different   races, his mother being the darker skin and his father being the lighter skin.

America following Reconstruction was completely different from America during FDR's New Deal. In 1876, the government was based on the ideas of Laissezfaire which meant that government stayed out of the citizens' lives. Society in 1876 was dominated by white men who ran the country while there were no rights for women, blacks, and immigrants. In 1876, Americans lived on farms in rural America. By the 1930's, America was a welfare state with government just starting to control different aspects such as economy and corporations.

Malaysia and the “Original People”   Neglecting aboriginal groups has been a common theme in the past when considering the advancement of developing countries. The United States had little to no regard for the Native Americans when developing a new nation. The founding fathers had various ideas to form the new constitution and the new government. The first presidential election in American history was won by George Washington through the popular will. Everyone in the Electoral College had voted for Washington for the first place with the hearty approval of the public. Washington received all 69 votes from the Electoral College while John Adams became the Vice President and got 34 votes (Boller P.4). The new government under the new Constitution was led by Mr.
The United States was founded on a grand ideal of social freedom. The U.S. Constitution was put into place to protect the rights of the individual by creating a fair and just society. These values of liberty resound for most Americans as assurance that they will never wake up to find they have lost their voice to an allpowerful oligarchy. Americans like to believe they live in what they call “the land of the free.” Of course, we know from the history of the country, the definition of freedom is a controversial topic.
Intro People have been collecting information since the dawn of recorded history. Very shortly after we started recording we ran in to the problem of storage. Where do we put all of this information. We soon developed written languages so we could store our collected information. The next problem to arise was retrieval of our stored information. This led to the development of systems like the dewy decimal system. Organizing books by subject and author made information retrieval a little easier. However, it was computer that revolutionized information storage and retrieval.

The private health care system is superior than the public health care system                                     Being a Canadian citizen, it is hard for me to think of life without any health insurance. I have had public health insurance all my life growing up and have been free to go to any hospital at any time and get some form of health care. Residing in the United States off and for the last 7 years I have experienced health care from both sides. I feel that private health care has huge advantages over public health care.
Alone with Nature   Arriving at the lusciously dense forest at daybreak, you gaze at the fresh dew delicately dangling on the foliage. You stroll through the winding dirt trails towards the steady flowing water while the birds proudly recite their early morning songs. Reaching the free flowing stream you bend down and see your clear reflection in front of the orangeyellow sky. Goosebumps rise along your arms as the streams icy depths run through your fingers. The cleansing water quickly refreshes your face, quickly washing away your anxieties and frustrations of a usual hectic life.
The Evolution of Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria   Since antibiotics, such as penicillin, became widely available in the 1940s, they have been called miracle drugs. They have been able to eliminate bacteria without significantly harming the other cells of the host. Now with each passing year, bacteria that are immune to antibiotics have become more and more common. This turn of events presents us with an alarming problem. Strains of bacteria that are resistant to all prescribed antibiotics are beginning to appear.

Introduction Based on the proposed scenario, if John, the employee of the private sector organization wants to file a discrimination complaint, there are specific procedures, which need to be taken. This procedure has been designed to lead, instruct, and protect both the employee and the employer from unnecessary litigation or the lack thereof. Discrimination Complaint and Civil Litigation Processes from the EEOC to the U.S. Supreme Court     In the Proposed scenario, John must begin the civil litigation process at the beginning with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Through my advocacy work, I  have found that teachers are not providing students with disabilities individualized attention as outlined in a student’s Individual Education plan. Teachers continue to follow instructions from administrators to place the burden of education on the student causing students anxiety and frustrating despite knowing such treatment is wrong and inhumane. The treatment often results in elevated high school dropout rates of students with disabilities. It is hard to understand why a teacher may treat a student, who is obviously willing to learn, in such a manner.
The Grapes of Wrath was written by John Steinbeck, in 1929. Steinbeck was born on February 27, 1902, in Salinas, California. Steinbeck did not like to narrate any of his novels in which he had no background information in. That is why he would often live the life of his characters before he wrote his novels or short stories. So in preparation for The Grapes of Wrath he went to Oklahoma, joined some migrants and rode with them to California. The Grapes of Wrath starts with Tom Joad, the main character, hitchhiking a ride home after being paroled from the state prison.

Homer's Odyssey and Dr. Seuss’ You're Only Old Once           "What animal walks on all fours in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs at night?" The famous riddle of the sphinx that has been pondered for many years; it is a universal issue that affects all people of every nationality, ethnicity, religion, or geographic area. We, ourselves, are the answer to this puzzle and yet we fight this explanation with every tool possible. We avoid it, refuse to admit it, read about it, joke about it, and deep down we often dread growing old.
Three Arthurian Misfits of Gawain and the Green Knight  "Hevys hys handys one heghte, and to the hevene lokes: 'Qwhythene hade Dryghttyne destaynede at his dere wille That he hade demyd me todaye to dy for yow alle.'" p. 264  Awholly determined and brave commitment, mouthed by a gracious king. The Gawain poet, however approaches Arthur much differently in his tale. In stanza five, he describes the hotblooded nature of the king, who makes rash demands as a rule before eating. Stanza twelve shows us a king who is overwhelmed in speech by the Green Knight, and who seems to have ignored the challenger's statement of peace completely.
The City upon the Hill     John Winthrop founded the colony of Massachusetts Bay in 1630, where he was the first Governor of the colony, a position he held for twenty years. In April, 1630, aboard the ship Arbella, he led a large party from England for the new world to establish a pure Christian based colony. "They hoped to establish communities of pure Christians who collectively swore a covenant with God that would they work for his ends, knowing that in return, He would watch over them". John Winthrop was born in Edwardstone, Suffolk, England, on January 22, 1588, and died in Boston, Massachusetts on March 26, 1649.

Explain the way in which Duffy presents the strengths and limitations of language in two poems. When drawing from both 'Warming Her Pearls' and 'Selling Manhattan' , it is evident that Carol Anne Duffy maintains a certain avantgarde approach to the vast array of possibilities that language presents. She acutely exposes the ambiguity that language holds in its meanings, presenting the reader with endless connotations to consider. Duffy also draws attention to its inability to fully express the extent of human emotions.
Alcohol and heavy drinking throughout Canada plays a distinctive role in instigating other key addictions. Drinking and consumption abuse can be linked strongly to the abuse of illicit drugs. Binge drinking should be seen as a gateway or portal to the development of polydrug users. As the gateway drug theory suggests, routine use of less harmful drugs, in this case alcohol, will lead to risk of abusing more serious drugs. Alcohol is so readily available and like any other psychoactive drug it can be very addictive.
Paradise plays a great role in describing the state of Hawaii; in addition, many are captured by its promising beauty and various attractions. In 2007, the state received a total of 7,627,819 visitors and the number increased as time went by; whereas, the island of Maui welcomes an outstanding amount of 2,580,361 million visitors annually (2007 Annual Visitor Research Report). In addition, the chain of islands came to be known as the most remote landmass in the world and was the last destination to be impacted by humans (Turning the Canoe Trailer).

Francis I and Henry VIII  On April 27th, 1989, at Sangatte on the northern coast of France, a ceremony was held to mark the commencement of the main work on the Channel Tunnel. At the tunnel entrance stood two giant pasteboard figures. One was of Henry VIII of England and the other was of Francis I of France. Their symbolic presence at the beginning of an ambitious project designed to link England and France was especially appropriate. Henry VIII is often called a |Renaissance prince' and is popularly remembered for his ebullience and the extraordinariness of his reign.
How do You Spell High School. – STRESS   When I ask people what their most memorable times are, most tell me that their most memorable times occurred in high school. I entered high school a year ago, and it has been fun, but very, very stressful. I try to organize and make time for everything that I am assigned to do, but still everything seems to bunch up and become overwhelming. Sometimes I just want to give up and stop trying so hard. I don’t just feel pressure from school, but from my family and society as well.

Buddhism Works Cited Missing     Buddhism is the religion of about one eighth of the world's people (Gaer 27). Buddhism is the name for a complex system of beliefs developed around the teachings of a single man. The Buddha, whose name was Siddhartha Gautama, lived 2,500 years ago in India. There are now dozens of different schools of Buddhist philosophy throughout Asia. These schools, or sects, have different writings and languages and have grown up in different cultures. There is no one single "Bible" of Buddhism, but all Buddhists share some basic beliefs.
Symbols of the Hopi Pottery       When most people look at a piece of pottery the first thing that comes to mind is the significance of the symbols and the stories behind these symbols. There are some symbols of  Hopi pottery that have stories behind them and some that are symbols of either lost significance or the story is unknown. Some of the symbols we think of as symbols, are really the potters own design. Most people make the mistake that symbols and designs are the same thing, but in fact they are very different.

Scores of composition instructors agree that writing should be taught as a recursive process, rather than a liner process, and they also agree that most writers employ certain writing strategies as they produce drafts. Sandra Perl’s article, Understanding Composing” shares these beliefs because she states: “writing does appear to be recursive, yet the parts that recur seem to vary from writer to writer and from topic to topic” (142). Perl explains that throughout the writing process, writers employ a “forwardmoving action that exists by virtue of  backwardmoving action” (141).
Sonia and Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment       Sonia and Raskolnikov are two characters that interact with each other in the novel, Crime and Punishment. They interact on multiple levels, sharing several likenesses. Both of these characters are attimes selfsacrificing, both are struggling for meaning in a dreary existence, and both are generally unhappy people, but brighten and seem to enjoy each other's presenceeven when Raskolnikov is berating her religion. What is selfsacrifice, for which these characters and so many people around the world engage in.
COMPLIMENTARY and ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE Ellen Hughes M.D. This article has brought to our attention the importance and popularity of alternative medicine in our lives today. The author gives us an idea of the number of people utilizing alternative medicine and the risks of doing so, as well as the cost. The author starts with a definition of alternative medicine and its gaining popularity today. This type of medicine is becoming more popular today because of the theory of treatment of the whole body instead of just what is felt at the time.

Two films, The Day the Earth Stood Still and Good Night and Good Luck, are produced over five decades apart and illustrated similar anticommunist sentiment. The first film, The Day the Earth Stood Still, was produced in 1951 during the height of the anticommunist movement or in other words McCarthyism. Good Night and Good Luck, which George Clooney directed and starred in, was produced in 2005 as a black and white docudrama film. These two films portray the mood felt by society during the 1950s through two complementary perspectives.
The degree to which each is used within a given work is indicative of the author and chronology of works produced during the Heian period. Earlier works tend to use much more poetry in their writing while later works shift noticeably toward the use of more and more prose. Authors during the period looked upon the works of their contemporaries for inspiration just as was customary to look to Manyoshu or Kokinshu for the writing of poetry. This awareness of prior works contributed to the evolution of nikki and monogatari and the use of prose literature in general.
Should Bush Attack Iraq. Nuclear weapons, terrorist bombings, these terms might be heard on our home front of us the United States of something isn’t done. By done I mean attacking Saddam Hussein, his armies in Iraq, and any other country harboring terrorist. This is why a military plan, released this past Friday, is just what this country needs for fending off terrorism and stopping the production of weapons of mass destruction, especially in Iraq. Eliminating the former strategies, by means of inspections and the passing of new UN rules must be changed.

The Reality of War Exposed in Journeys End by R.C Sheriff   In the play “Journey’s end” R.C Sherrif recreates the tremendous stress and fear by the men at the front in the First World War. In this essay I am going to focus on two characters, who show stress and fear. The two characters the essay will focus on are Stanhope, who is the captain and Hibbert who is an officer. A couple of background realities about the war are that it started in 1914 and a numerous countries were changed like Germany and England.
How Much Television is too much.    How much television is too much. Well on an average, children spend 25 hours a week watching television. And who’s to say it’s even quality stuff that they’re watching. This is a big question among many, if not all, American families. People today spend more time watching television than on any other single leisure activity. In fact, studies have shown that the average child spends more time in front of the television than in school. (Patterson, 2001)  Television was once an educator, but overtime is gradually ruining our youth.
Life Coach Personal Narrative      A wise man once said, "If you were going to die tomorrow and had only one phone call to make, who would you call and what would you say. Why are you waiting?" At the time, family and friends told me this happened for a reason. They told me he was called to a better place. I never told him how much he meant to me. I wish I had the chance to thank him for the life lessons he taught me. If I could be blessed enough to spend just one more moment with him, I would tell him he has touched my life with such an impact that I will never be the same.

Role of Christian Faith in Ancient and Contemporary Turkey        Turkey?s population is nearly 99% Muslim, and even though Christianity is a clear minority (1), Turkey has played a major role in the history of the Christian faith.. Turkey is second in the number of Christian biblical sites, Israel being the first, so Turkey contains a wealth of Christian history (2).. In medieval literature, the role of women often represents many familiar traits and characteristics which present societies still preserve. Beauty, attractiveness, and grace almost completely exemplify the attributes of powerful women in both present and past narratives. European medieval prose often separates the characteristics of women into two distinct roles in society. Women can be portrayed as the greatest gift to mankind, revealing everything that is good, pure, and beautiful in a woman's life.
The Army has transformed several times during its history. Adapting to the operational environment is a necessity for the force called upon to prosecute its adversaries. The Army must do what is necessary to protect the U.S. against all enemies, and advance the national interests of the American people. To accomplish this, anticipation of threats is crucial and victory against its adversaries is an imperative. The nation relies on the military for strategic level deterrence and expects that it will be decisive in combat operations.

Imagery in Sylvia Plath's Poetry      Sylvia Plath employs vivid imagery and a reminiscent tone to convey her feelings of grief, guilt, and disdain the day she first visited her father's grave, and the devastating effects his death had on her. Plath addresses the poem to her deceased father, of whom she harbors a deep daughterly love for, along with a bitterness created when he seemingly abandoned her and her mother when he died. Several times throughout the poem, Plath conveys how she feels as if her father's death had killed her as well.
A Different View of Love   We have heard definitions of love through our lives that have been passed on for decades. Some of us have felt love, and some of us have been in love. But no one ever seems to question what love is, as if it is something that just plainly is. People tend to just go with it, and think that what they are feeling is really complete and substantial love. In Plato’s The Symposium, the reader is confronted with some very different views of love as brought to us by Agathon, Phaedrus and Socrates, to name a few.

Alone and Unhappy                  She sat on the Q train waiting for her stop. The time was finally here. She was just an hour away from happiness. Beverly Rd, Church St, Atlantic Ave she got up and off the train. She followed the rush of people to catch the 2 train into the city. The 2 or 3 train never came regularly so she waited patiently. In the distance she heard a couple of Mexicans playing the accordion and the guitar. She could not make out the song, but they sounded pretty good. Finally the 2 train pulled in and she boarded.
OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM      Introduction  On March 20, 2003, the combined military forces of the United States and Britain crossed the southern border of Iraq and Kuwait with the intent of capitulating the government of Saddam Hussein. Over the course of 21 days, the joint task force moved quickly and decisively to seize major objective cities along the road to Baghdad using aviation, armor, artillery, and infantry. Following the overwhelming success of the primary combat operations of the invasion, stability and support systems proved insufficient as sectarian violence and other criminal activity among the local population of Iraq increased.
Many authors write books about events, their lives and their environment,   and their corrupt government. One satirical author who wrote a novel about   living in a corrupt society is Jonathan Swift who wrote Gulliver's Travels. The places the protagonist had visited reflected on the author's English   government. The life of the author will be shown similar to this book   because of the way he lived. Jonathan Swift was well educated and graduated from Trinity College in   Dublin in English literature.

Dear Journal,      Today I boarded an airplane in Philadelphia. I haven’t been on a plane before, so I was very nervous. The takeoff was pretty smooth. I finally relaxed, then we landed in Atlanta, Georgia. From here I rented a green compact car from Hertz. I drove from Atlanta to Tula in one night. I eventually arrived at the border and showed the officials my voter registration card and driver’s license. I finally crossed the border into Mexico. From here I wen to my first stop, Tula. I stayed at the Sharon, a sevenstory modern hotel, is placed right across the street  from the town hall and not far from the archaeological area.
Euthanasia                                                                                                              The word "euthanasia" has a Greek origin and in it's original form    meant a good and honourable death, which would be pleasant and    painless. In medical terms it was taken to mean the kindness offered    to a person who was terminally ill by medical staff in order to lessen    their pain and suffering. However, in recent times the term "euthanasia" has come to be used to    describe a gentle and easy death, for those who are incurably ill.
Iago in William Shakespeare's Othello     Shakespeare's Iago is one of Shakespeare's most complex     Villains. At first glance Iago's character seems to be pure evil. Shakespeare to add depth to his villain makes him Amoral, as opposed    to the typical immoral villain. Iago's entire Scheme begins when the    "ignorant, illsuited" Cassio is given the     Position he desired. Iago is consumed with envy and plots to steal the     Position he feels he most justly deserves. Throughout Othello Iago is seen to be scheming something.

Prostitution is one of the most controversial subjects in the United States. There are many pros and cons to this subject. Should prostitution be legalized. Or should it stay illegal with no chance of becoming decriminalized. Some researchers confirm that prostitution is indeed the most ancient profession, while others argue with it; however, everybody agrees that trading sex for money has existed for quite a while. Prostitution is still a part of modern society. The fact speaks for itself, as there will always be a demand for the services that it provides, prostitution will exist in some form no matter what.
Porn and technology: Pornography has, more than any other type of media, been on the bleeding edge of technology. Pushing new mediums to their limit, usually in the last way they were ever intended to be used (Gross, 2010). We start off the 20th Century with the Halftone printing process being only two decades old. This was the first process that allowed images to be inexpensively reproduced. Magazines were the leading pornographic medium, and they were only available by mail. Then, with the advent of film, the Stag films were first produced in Germany and Latin America.

Britain in the Second World War: The Evacuation of British Children     There would be many differing reactions from people in Britain to the    evacuation policy during the Second World War. The first group of    people would be the children who were actually being moved away from    their homes and everything they know to live in the country, away from    there mothers and fathers and family to stay with people they do not    know and have not met. I have two letters from      to explain how    children felt.
Fly Away Peter     Malouf evokes the horror and absurdity of war in ‘Fly Away Peter’ through an Australian frame of reference that creates reality for the reader. Discuss. Malouf’s ‘Fly Away Peter’ uses an Australian frame of reference to display the horrors and absurdity of war. The way in which Malouf writes creates reality – the reader can suspend disbelief and believe that the events in the novella are actually real. When we read ‘Fly Away Peter’, we see the story through Jim’s eyes. Jim is a bird watcher, and he is Australian.
Government Surveillance in the Digital Age        Imagine walking along a busy street in the middle of a sunny day. Also imagine that someone is following you around, videotaping everything you do. Disturbing thought. Even more disturbing is the fact that the United States government is already doing this, and it's perfectly legal. According to Robert Trigaux, a reporter for the St. Petersburg times, until August of 2014, in Ybor City, Florida, the Tampa Police Department used fourtysix surveillance cameras that scanned faces of all people walking around the entertainment district.

Franz Kafka's The Judgement depicts the struggle of fatherson relationships. This modernistic story explores Georg Bendemann's many torments, which result from the bonds with both his father and himself. Furthermore, the everpresent and lifelong battle that Georg has been fighting with his father leads him to fight an even greater battle with himself. Ultimately, Georg loses the struggle with himself by letting go of his newly found independence and instead, letting external forces decide his fatal outcome.
Knowledge in Name of the Rose  Knowledge was one of the most powerful tools of the middle ages. It was highly valued by many kings and members of nobility, but the greatest procurer of knowledge through the middle ages was undoubtedly the church. Their motive for the capturing of wisdom was not for their own enrichment, but predominantly selfpreservation. If the general public were to get hold of such a wealth of philosophical and scientific works that were withheld in the monastic libraries then they would almost certainly begin to formulate their own religious ideas, therefore releasing the societal stranglehold the church held so tightly at that time.

The Principle of Convergence and the Theme of Disempowerment   In this paper, I propose to present interpretations of six works by French artists, three painters (Watteau, Delacroix, and Manet) and three novelists (Zola, Proust, and Camus), and to report on the unexpected discovery (if it deserves to be called such) that these disparate works have certain principles of structuring in common. Let us eliminate from the outset a possible source of distraction : these studies are interdisciplinary in character, but that seems to have nothing to do with the discoveries made.
Free Software and Open Source  While Free Software Foundation founder Richard Stallman argues that Free Software is not Open Source, he is only half right—or only speaking about the question of motivation (the half that matters to him). The definition of Open Source, as enshrined in the Open Source Definition (OSD) is a nearly verbatim copy of the Debian Free Software Guidelines (DFSG). Both the OSD and DFSG are practical articulations of Stallman's Free Software Definition (FSD). Open Source, with a different political and philosophical basis, can only exist because the FSD is broad enough to allow for its translation into other terms yet defined enough to allow for a directed and robust social movement.

Comparing Welsh Landscape, Small Window and Reservoirs      In this essay I am going to discuss, compare and contrast the three    poems written by R.S Thomas. The three poems arse based on Wales and    Welshness. R.S Thomas' views are very clear in these poems. R.S Thomas was brought was brought up in Cardiff in a nonWelsh    speaking community. R.S Thomas did not learn how to speak Welsh until    he moved to Welsh speaking communities. When R.S Thomas wrote these    poems he felt as if he couldn't express himself as good as he could in    the English language, So he decided not to write his poems in welsh    and wrote them through the English language.
The Power of Love in Uncle Tom’s Cabin and Beloved   There are several common themes in the film Beloved and the book Uncle Tom’s Cabin. They both deal with the effects of slavery on the white and black communities. They both address the brutal treatment of blacks within slavery, including the sexual mistreatment of black women by their masters. A prevalent theme out of both works is the power of a mother’s love for her children. The film Beloved paints a grim picture of what it was like to be a black woman in the 1860’s.

World War II was a time of deliberate hate among groups of innocent people who were used as scapegoats. While the first thought that comes to mind is the Jewish people kept in Concentration Camps throughout the Holocaust, this is not it. JapaneseAmericans were persecuted due to the fact that they looked like citizens of Japan, who had attacked the United States on December 7th, 1941 at the naval base, Pearl Harbor. This hatred toward the group was due to newspapers creating a scare for the American people, as well as the government restricting the rights of JapaneseAmericans.
